Michael understands that a tile or slate roof is an important part of a homes architectural personality. When he was studying roofing in Germany he noticed copper guttering was often a unique and fitting "accessory" to beautiful tile and slate roofs he was installing.
Michael developed the skills to work in many different metals including, copper, zinc-titanium he can either solder or weld lead an almost lost art and often creates unique ornamentation such as copper chimneypots, copper beaver tail roofs and ornamental items for customers.
He also works and Copper Plus a cost effective copper alternative particularly well suited to Colorado.
Many items he makes by hand, using the techniques and skills of the old world craftsmen he trained under. Some of the work is preformed in the same way it has been for hundreds of years.
Michael often utilizes brazing or welding for his copper instead of soldering because he knows in many instances it will produce a product that will stand the test of time.
